Dear Teachers, could you please check the following sentence for grammar and vocabualry?

Your infinite cheerfulness and kindness, like the luminous rays of a never-setting sun, inspire only the best in all of us.

Sounds fine to me (I'd like to receive such a letter some day!)

Yes, it sounds fine to me too. Some people might say that 'luminous' is already included in 'rays', and so 'luminous rays' is a tautology.
