Grammar: Using "Even if that meant" in sentence

Hello,

In this piece of fiction, please tell me if the underlined part is grammatically correct?

Top answer

anonymous Jane, his imaginary friend, was so angry by that incident that she had refused to show up in front of his family, even if that meant his sanity being questioned. Correct. The author has perhaps taken some artistic license and used a non-finite clause where we might expect the corresponding finite clause.
