Thanks Clive. However how a non-native teacher of English can call oneself? Is it " Professor in English or Professor of English?

Hi,

The word 'professor' means a university level teacher, and in some universities is only used for the teachers who have a high rank.

Below university level, I suggest 'I'm an English teacher'.

Please confirm it clearly. Which is the correct usage according to the native speakers? Is it "Professor in English" or "Professor of English"? No round about justification please.
