Grammar - use of "is this correct" versus "is that correct".

Either 'this' or 'that' is OK. A period is much more likely than a semi-colon. But really, such wording is more likely to be spoken than written.

Both "this" and "that" are correct in this grammatical situation. If you were to say "is this correct" or "is that correct" they would both make sense to the person told the phrases. It would also stand correct in the eyes of experts and historians of the /american language.
