Grammar "than expected, as expected etc"

Good morning, I have some questions regarding the following sentences:
the processor is faster than i expected
... happened as i expected

I believe those sentences are reduced
Could you possibly teach me the complete sentences?
like : ...is faster than i expected it to do?
and could you please also teach me the logic?

thank you very much

That's how I would take it, but I think you're talking about a particular running speed compared to its usual running speed, so if I were you I'd write It's running faster than usual.
