Hi Everyone,
I just came across these two sentences and I'm struggling to see why the highlighted nouns in the sentences shown below are in their singular form.
Sentence 1: Write down finished actions which have a connection to the present. The subject of the relative clause is "finished actions". Why is it not correct to write "finished actions which have connections to the present"?
Sentence 2: Most students in this country are required to wear a uniform to school. Why is uniform singular in this sentence? Clearly, there are more than one student and each school must have different uniforms. Why is it not correct to say "Most students in this country are required to wear uniforms to school". or "wear uniforms to schools"
Finally, I would like to ask one more favour. Would anyone please also help me correct my grammatical mistakes in this post if there is any.
Thank you very much ![]()
