Grammar, Should want or wants be placed in this sentence?

Which one of these two sentence is grammatically correct?

You keep my heart want to beat for you
You keep my heart wants to beat for you

And what about these 2 sentences?

You are what keeps my heart want to beat for you
You are what keeps my heart wants to beat for you

I'd like to know if it's either want or wants that should be used in the sentences above and a bit of explanation would be appreciated Emotion: smile
Thank you.

All those sentences are incorrect. The best you can do with that formula is "You keep my heart wanting to beat for you" and "You are what keeps my heart wanting to beat for you". The second of those, though, has a kind of "circular logic" which seems unsatisfactory, in my opinion.

  • It may be that you simply mean "You are the one who keeps my heart beating".
