Grammar: sentence structure

Can I say my father dead, I got shocked? Or should I say my father being dead, I got shocked?

P.S. actually, I wanted to put these two above-given questions into one single sentence, but I couldn't. If possible, please mention how to ask two or more questions in a single sentence!
