Grammar Questions

1. I saw/have seen this film before.

Past Simple or Present Perfect? There are no markers that the tense is Present Perfect.

2. Joy (has lived, lives, lived, living, has been living) in Moscow for three years. Now he resides in Paris.

You may hear both used, but "I have / I've seen this film before" is better English in my opinion. In speech we usually contract "I have" to "I've".
