Ii don't know how to say the following:
I don't know if this wording is ok.

The best laptop for that purpose/use would be the MacBook. It has everything he'll need, and it is the most basic Mac in a laptop configuration. It's the lease powerful one in terms of configuration/specs. I on;y need a computer with 2gb ram not 4 or 8.

I don't know if 'in a laptop config' means 'in terms of specs/config' like if it's a 2gb ram or 4 gb ram computer.

How would I phrase->

For he use I have for it, this basic model macbook is enough in terms of configuration/specs/in a laptop configuration. I only need a 2gb ram.

ONE B : For my purposes/use I have for it, I don't need a professional guitar. This one will do just fine.
