Every night I'm lying in bed Holding you close in my dreams, Thinking about all the things that we said And coming apart at the seams.
I'm just curious if the the above sentence is grammatically correct or not. When the action is usual such as every night, we're supposed to use present simple tense, aren't we? Shouldn't it have been written like this instead?
Every night I lie in bed Hold you close in my dreams, Think about all the things that we said And coming apart at the seams.
No offense to the song writer. I very much appreciate the artistry of the song. Just need more knowledge to fill my void from you all experts. Thanks.
