Grammar question no. 30 - tense coherence?

Hello there,

Should the following sentence: I've been thinking about my situation a lot these days be followed by:

a) and I've come to a conclusion that...

or

b) and I came to a conclusion that...

In my opinion I can't mix the present perfect continuous with past simple. What do you think?
