Grammar question
I see an expression somewhere else, I quote below. The passage was to mean that because he is the boss, "you" cannot make any demands and you cannot have any say.......
The original quote
"" Since I am your boss, you would make no demands of any kind or have any say over my policies. """
I don't really understand the grammar.
Why it isn't "Since I am your boss, you would make no demands of any kind or have no say over my policies??
make no demands of my kind = negative (you cannot make demand)
have any say over my policies = positive (you can have any say)
What is the logic of the grammar??
Do you guy get what I mean? Excuse me!
