Grammar question

is this sentence correct? "In summer, I go to the beach every day." I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use "in" here, or another preposition.

Thanks for your help!

The preferred collocation is "During the summer, I go to the beach every day.. "In" is accpetable.

You may use "In the summer..." in other contexts, like:

The hottest spot in California is the Mojave Desert where temperatures can reach as high as 140 degree F in the summer/ during the summer.
