Grammar question

Is it correct to say "I have cleared all dues related to property tax" or should this sentence be more like "I have cleared all dues relating to property tax"

Top answer

Both "related to" and "relating to" seem correct to me. Personally, I would use "relating to" in this case. I think maybe you meant "debts", not "dues"?

Thanks..i could have used the word "debts" as well but it was an applciation for a no-dues certificate hence the use of the word "dues"

Is there anyway to prove that use of the word "related" is correct? I have somebody who insists that "relating" should be used and related is wrong.

Hi CJ,
I would like your view to this line of thinking:

* I have received a lot of the complaints [regarding] / [realted to]/ [concerning]/
