Grammar query.

Hi.

Sentence: A mandatory vaccination may also impinge on freedom of religion unless it is justified on the grounds of public order, public health or morality.


Why does the author write "freedom of religion" instead of "the freedom of religion"? "Of" should be preceded with "The", shouldn't it?

"freedom of religion", looked upon as one of the human rights mentioned in the U.S. Constitution, is an abstract concept. Abstract nouns don't take articles.
