Grammar; quantity words

I read English Grammar in Use for my study.I extracted three questions about quantity words as shown below.I have already put the correct answers into each bracket in three questions.Would you please tell me the reasons why they are the answers? 1. I'm not very busy today. I don't have [much] to do.
? I thought "to do" would be followed by "things / jobs etc.", so I put "many"

2. This is a very boring place to live. There's [little] to do.
? I thought "to do" would be followed by "things / shopping etc.", so I put "few"

3. It's an interesting town to visit. There [is] plenty to see.
?I thought "to see" would be followed by "buildings / places etc.", so I put "are"

Your thinking is correct. If "things" or "jobs" or "tasks" or "chores" were in the sentence, or the immediate context, then "many" is correct. Many modifies the count noun.
