0 I'm a native English speaker, but this doesn't mean I'm infallible: 02br
00I would say that in 4 and 5 either could be correct, certainly either would seem natural in spoken English. Number 6 doesn't seem grammatically correct to begin with, you'd need to have "since he was young", and I would go for 'gotten', though I may be wrong. 0-

0Thanks everybody. I now have a clearer picture on the use of verbs for the sentences. These sentences were constructed by me, so I think there may be grammatical errors somewhere in them. Just wanted to know which is the correct verb form to use in each of the cases.050010id1
