Grammar Problem

Harper Lee's 1960 novel To Kill a Mockingbird won a Pulitzer Prize and is a classic, however , aside from a few nonfiction magazine articles she has published since, she has refused to write anything else--including a foreword for her lone novel. No error

I think it's however, but I'm not sure if that's correct...

Any help?

however is the proper word here. It should have a capital letter and be the start of a new sentence. Is this what you wanted to know?

If you are being tested on punctuation as well as grammar, then I think you're right. This is the best choice.

The typical recommendation in the punctuation guides is the form with the semi-colon (See below), though there are other ways to write it as well (Visit the link).
