grammar , meaning, AS MUCH AS , ESL

a guy told me "you should not like me, as much as I like you"
does that mean that he likes knows I might like more than he ?
does that mean that he may be feeling that I like him more than he to me ? I dont know .. I forgot everthing about grammar when He wrote that to me

For example, on Facebook, he gave you 10 "likes."
He is saying that you should give him less than 10 "likes".

"You should not like me, as much as I like you" means that even though he likes you, you ought not to like him.
"You should not like me as much as I like you" means that you ought not to like him to the same degree as he likes you.

GPY is correct in that the comma can change the meaning. I assumed that the comma was put in by mistake.

1. With the comma:
As much as I like ice cream, I only eat it occasionally.

2. Without the comma:
I don't eat ice cream as much as I would like to.
