Grammar how to solve this problem?

Hello,In the following sentence the verb of [feel] acted as a transitive verb. To irrational use of trasitive verb, the resolution of me is below. My question is ask you tell me waht is the resolution of Grammar. In {By the end of the war he felt used up and sick of life.}, the verb of "felt" shows that 'he' existed in a mind or body condition that has a controlling effect on him.So, the subject "he" is a sufferer of the stated state and the verb "felt" used to show "he" is covered with that condition.Whether only in this way can we come into the core of the realationship between "he" and "felt" ?Thank you for your assistance.

Instead of thinking of it as He is covered with that condition , it might be better to think of it like this: He has that condition inside him , because feelings are internal. CJ
