Grammar help pls

Questions in grammar:

1. There are a lot of "surprise" OR "surprises"?

2. "There is a holiday in next week" Or "There is a holiday next week"?

3. Most of the security guards in this villa are lack of politness. ---> is this phrase okay? sounds common and natural? if not, how do i say this?

4. Grammar check pls: "They do not have the basic greeting and salutation to the people who live in here. Since they are the security in this villa(and this villa is pretty small), they are supposed to know us, at least our last name. Awfully, every time when they talk to us, they only say "YOU", but no salutation like Mr XXX or Mrs XXX. This is very rude of them."

3. "are lack of politeness" is ungrammatical. You can say "Most of the security guards in this villa lack politeness", or just "Most of the security guards in this villa are impolite/rude."

4. "They do not use basic polite greetings when speaking to the people who live here
