Hi,
Could you please comment on my grammar, if I have made any mistakes?
I am mistaken about your age. (Adjective)
If I am not mistaken, that is my book. (Adjective)
I was mistaken for my twin brother. (This can be considered as an adjective or an participle)
There is not mistaken / no a (single) mistake. ("There" can only go with "nouns")
There has no a (single) mistake. ("There" can only go with "nouns")
I mistook about your age. (Verb)
I [ have mistaken / must be mistaken ] about your age. (Less use in participles, adjectives are far more often?)
If I am not mistaking, that is my book. (Verb less use, adjectives more often I guess?)
If I have not mistaken, that is my book. (Less use in participles, adjectives are far more often?)
I [ believe mistakenly / I mistakenly believe ] that earth is flat. (Verb can be in the front or rear? as long as there is a verb?)
Cheers
John Aki
