Grammar help please?

Hi,

Would you please common on these sentences for me please?

1) He denied stealing it. vs He denied that he had stolen it. (Both ways are possible)

2) I remember you teaching me how to... vs I remember that you tough me how to... (Both ways are possible)

3) Can you remember how much we spending on that trip. vs Can you remember that how much we spent on that trip. (Both ways are possible)

4) Did you see anyone [ do / doing ] it. (Catenative verb, both ways can be correct)

5) I saw that you did it. (Is this grammatical?) (Two clauses)

6) I am not liable for any damage (which is) caused.

7) I am wearing a shirt, made in China. (Two clauses)

8) I did a test, comparing these two. (Two clauses, "ing" beginning of the sentences?)

9) This one is good, compared to others I had tried. ("ed" refers to the past I was comparing or trying?)

2) I remember you teaching me how to... vs I remember that you ~~tough~~ taught me how to... (Both ways are possible) Both possible, but the second way doesn't sound completely idiomatic.

3) Can you remember how much we ~~spending~~ spent on that trip? vs Can you remember that how much we spent on that trip. (Both ways are possible) No. Only the first way is possible because here you have an embedded question. You can't have 'that' and then 'how'.

4) Did you see anyone [ do / doing ] it. (Catenative verb, both ways can be correct) Yes.
see + do = You saw the whole thing.
see + doing = You saw it while it was happening, but not necessarily how it began or how it ended.

5) I saw that you did it. (Is this grammatical?) (Two clauses) It's grammatical, but not natural as a substitute for the sentences in 4.

6) I am not liable for any damage (which is) caused. OK. "which is" is optional, as you have marked it.

7) I am wearing a shirt [no comma] made in China. (Two clauses) Right.

8) I did a test [no comma] comparing these two. (Two clauses Right, ["ing" beginning of the sentences?]) I don't understand the part in brackets.

9) This one is good [no comma] compared to others I had tried. ("ed" refers to the past I was comparing or trying?) 'compared' is a past participle, not the past tense. Paraphrase: This one is good when you compare it to others I had tried.
