Grammar help please?

Hi,

The differences between these two sentences are "passive and active" am I correct?


It has been a problem since last month. (Present perfect, passive voice)

It has had a problem since last month. (Present perfect, active voice)

Has been is active. If you want a passive structure with has been, which indeed is present perfect, you need a third verb. You need a past participle. Examples:
