Grammar help please?

Hi there,

I wonder how you do you pick up the right choice? I always have this kind of issue though, as both "used / using" sound correct to me....

1) This cleaner is used / using for cleaning windows. (Maybe both are correct? one for the past and another one for the present/current?)

A light is hung / hanging on the ceiling. (Same as above?)

2) Car is parked in the garage. (This one is easy, as car needs some one to park in there)

He was taken to the hospital. (This one is easy, as someone took him to the hospital)

I was punched by you. (This one is easy, as I can't punch myself must by you or someone else)

Thank in advice.
