Grammar help please?

Hi there,

Could you confirm that if I am correct in these three words and meanings, please?

1) Grab it firmly or always grab both sides. (With hands movement, always and better using/use "grab")

2) These tires grip the wet road greatly or perfectly.

3) I grasped your meanings or ideas. ("Grasp" is mostly for "understand" and "get" it)

Thanks in advance
