Grammar help please?

Hi these,

Happy New year, could you please confirm that I am grammatically correct in these sentences?


Nothing can hinder my progress of the study in English.

He bumped/ knocked his leg on the table. (Both words are pretty much same meaning??)

I bumped / knocked into his tray and tipped over his food

I bumped / knocked over his coffee.

That is an American spirit.
