"I really don't like it when people talk to me when I've just woken up."
As I read it, I feel that there's something wrong here. I just don't know what or if there aren't any. Also, can someone please give me some examples of how to say this in a different way?.
Thanks

It seems grammatically OK to me, but the repetition of "when" is stylistically awkward. "

Well, that was fast. I've been trying to watch and listen to English stuff (I've heard about immersion and how it will help and things).I often find myself making sentences out of the things I've heard and think wait, there's something wrong here, I just can't pinpoint what it is!. Very frustrating.
I would actually think it sounds very natural if said in conversation.
Remember that we usually are NOT very grammatical in our speech. We don't have the ability to go back in time to fix verbs that don't agree, and so on.
If you made that sentence up, then you sound like a native to me!
