Please help me on the following sentence.

The monkey wanted to eat the juicy fruit on the tress.

How should we treat "fruit" in the sentence above, countable or uncountable?

The answer key says countable. Is is correct?

The word fruits is rarely used, except when speaking of different kinds.

Just say
eg "The monkey wanted to eat the juicy fruit on the tree".
eg "The monkey wanted to eat the juicy oranges on the tree".
