Grammar Experts, pls help !
Hi, could you also help me with these confusions ?
1) A. She said that she would talk to you about me helping her out.
B. She said that she would talk to you about my helping her out.
Which one is correct? I think B is correct, because I remember a phrase " Do you mind my smoking?" ... however, I'm not quite sure how well I understand this structure. Could you explain it to me with examples?
2) I had a talk with my boss and she suggested that I stay in my current position for another year. Now I want to tell my friend about this, so can I say " I had a talk with her, and she was suggesting that I stay her for another year." or I should use " sugguested"
Please let me know which one is more suitable in this situation, and under what kind of situation I can use "was suggesting..." ?
3) "Would" or "will"
I know "would" is a polite form of "will", so are these two corrct?
1) I would send it to him if you think it's fine. ( do I have to use "will"?)
2) He asked me for the report. I would be able to finish it by Monday, so may I send it to him on Tuesday? Please confirm.
