Grammar Doubt

Hi,

I know it's not in practice to say "You better be shut up" but since "shut up" is a verb so technically this constuction is not wrong. Is it ?

Hi, This sentence is wrong regardless of this be issue. You had better shut up ( bare infinitive ). The be is incorrect there as well, because this structure governs the bare infinitive.
