Grammar Correction

Hi, is this sentence grammatically correct?

A comedy about an aristocratic family in 1902 Rhode Island, focuses on the lives of sisters Lillian and Beatrice as well as the rest of the very rich Bellacourt family and their servants.

The comma is incorrect (there is a generous interpretation that it could be an abbreviated list). One way to fix it would be to put the word "that" instead of the comma (this would create a noun phrase rather than a grammatically complete sentence). Or you could just delete the comma, but I would need to see more context to know whether the resulting sentence has the right emphasis.

  • After "focuses on the lives of sisters Lillian and Beatrice" I'm not especially expecting the "focus" to go on to include all the rest.
