Grammar correction

Could you please help me out to check my grammar in this statement"
They used the biological classification to identify the class of the organism " thank you

Top answer

Misse They used the biological classification to identify the class of the organism. The grammar is fine, but maybe you mean They use a biological classification system to identify the class of the organism. I assume you mean 'class' as opposed to 'order', 'family', 'genus', or 'species'.
