Top answer

Anonymous I AM JUST TRYING TO MAKE PASSIVE OF PAST PERFECT! There's no such thing as a past perfect without the word "had", so "The party was over" can't possibly be the answer you're looking for. "had been ended" at least has "had", so that's better.

  • There's no such thing as a past perfect without the word "had", so "The party was over" can't possibly be the answer you're looking for.
  • "had been ended" at least has "had", so that's better.
  • Nevertheless, it's not natural English; 'end' is not very commonly used in the passive.
  • The usual statement is "The party ended".
