War deplete country's wealth.
Heavy storm disrupted power last night.
War disrupted trade between these two countries for many years.
I opposed / against that plan. (Both wards are pretty much same meaning)
I was opposed that plan. (Adjective)
As opposed to option A, I prefer option B.
