Grammar check please

Hi there,

Could you confirm me that I am correct in these two words and meanings, please?


What is your status / state recently? (I mean health, study, job...situation.)

Can you tell me, what is the status / state of my application? (Similar to situation)

That building or car is in a bad state / status, need to do something. (Similar to condition)

Usually teachers, professors, doctors have higher status / state than homeless in any society. (Social status)

Criminals are usually the lowest status / state in any countries over the world. (Social status)

No. We don't ask about people's "status" in this sense. Also, "is" and "recently" don't go together well. You can say e.g. "How are you/things?" or "How have you/things been?".
