The aim of this study is to inquire spoken vocabulary use of Korean college students and figure out the degree of disparity between students' vocabulary and British National Corpus. The study analyzed the frequency of students' vocabulary and found out that the students of Korea use finite range of English words.

This study attempts to identify the features of lexical collocation and the degree of its use in high school textbooks. The findings discover that certain collocations are more influenced by language materials. Also it is indicated that the language materials are insufficient for supporting lexical syllabus, notwithstanding its appropriate vocabulary size.

This paper studies the properties of the words in the elementary school English textbooks from three perspectives: lexical variation and frequency order of the words, word classes, and word structures. The unique properties of the words in textbooks were identified and they suggest that the textbook designers should consider both learnability and authenticity.

This research explores the effects of the concordancer on ESL learners' productive vocabulary knowledge. In his experiment, the errors in Korean undergraduate students' writing were statistically compared. The results indicate that the concordancer is an effective vocabulary reference and learning tool, and it is more effective in improving grammar knowledge of vocabulary.
