Is that some sort of regionalism, do you know? pull their plates. I had trouble assigning a meaning to it. pull their hairwould have made more sense to me.

I didn't recognize it at first, but then realized that in buffets, the plates are all stacked at the start of the serving line.

"Pull their plates" is an apt expression to take the plates away when the piggies are coming!
