Grammar CHeck

Hi,

Are there any mistakes in the text below?

The Mark I, developed in 1937, was about eight feet high and 55 feet long. This device could multiply 10 digit numbers in less than 10 seconds. It contained about 760,000 parts (switches, tubes etc.) and about 500 miles of wire and weighed more than 30 tones. Although it was not a very admired very much, it opened the scope of research for further advancements in computers.

I think it is almost ok. I only would like to make two small changes: 1. "500 miles of wireS" — soundS better to me, because this way you can emphasize the complexity of the machine's electrical circuit, not only it's great size.

Good.
This device could multiply 10 digit numbers in less than 10 seconds.

Fine. You may want to type out the smaller numbers ("ten"), though.
