grammar book

And suggestion for English books? The most important I am trying to improve on verbs. I'm looking for tense consistency, tense usuage, passive construction, and stuff of that nature.

The book that I recommend most for students is Grammar in Use Intermediate by Raymond Murphy. It is very clear, has lots of examples, and it's possible to answer all of the exercises with the information provided in the explanation. I have only used the 3rd edition book (I often photocopy it for my classes), but Cambridge has a new version of the book and an online version.

  • site_locale=de_CH&currentSubjectID=2561950 It's possible that the intermediate book is too easy for you.
  • In that case, DO NOT but the advanced Grammar in Use book (it's VERY advanced).
