Hello everyone,
Could you please tell me if either "died" or "was dead" is correct in the following sentence?
Pew died/was dead because of the horses.
Or
Pew died/ was dead because of being trampled by the horses.
Context/ In "The treasure island", there is a character named "Pew or the blind man". One night he was trampled and killed by some galloping horses.
Regards,
Joseph
These are all OK: He died because of the horses. He died because the horses trampled him (to death). He died because he was trampled (to death) by horses.
