  1. What's the reason why we would say

‘Can you show me where the school is?’ instead of ‘Can you show me where is the school?’

  1. In writing, when we say 'Tom was dishonest but he was my friend too.' --> does this mean Tom is no longer the writer's friend at the time of speech?
