Hello,

I have a question about using present continuous for future plans. When can't we use it?

for example, can we say: I'm waking up at 8 on monday. Is it correct? If no, why not?

Top answer

The present continuous is commonly used for future action with verbs indicating movement: He is coming here tomorrow. I'm flying to Rome next week. Incidentally, Monday must be capitalised.
