Hi,

1. “My French teacher always sticks to the guidelines and he never really ventures out of the bounds of the book/goes out of the bounds of the book.”

Could I use this if he doesn’t try to spice up the lectures and always wants us to do exercises in the book?

2. Are these correct?

‘take a casual approach to/towards students’

‘take a casual approach to teaching students’

Thank you.
