Hi,

1)serve a purpose

Can I use ‘serve a purpose’ when talking about clothes?

For instance:”The pyjama pants have gaping holes at the knees. Do you think that they are supposed to serve some kind of specific purpose like ventilation?”

2) If I’m on holiday and I mostly stay in Airbnb apartments, can I say that I bounce around in Airbnb apartments?

3) Do you ever use ‘at second glance’ or would you substitute it for something different in the following example?

“At second glance the skirt didn’t look so bad.”

Thank you.
