Grammar

I met an accident few days ago got a long wound/slit/cut.

A friend of mine asked me how did it happen so I have to reply him in English but I can't explain properly in English please help i am stating the situation please mark the errors.


I was walking by the traffic police point, and there was a messed up/broken barrier gate kept of it's side and a clam had come out of it I got bumped by it and got injured.


Am I ok please mark the errors. I will try to correct it again.
