Hello everyone

Can we use the phrase "if I am you" instead of "if I were" or is such a phrase like "if I am you" correct?

If yes, please use it in a sentence for me.

Kind regards

JA

No, you can't say that except in some odd context. eg Someone writes a play about me, and I ask one of the actors what his role is. He tells me, 'I am you', meaning that is his role.
