Suppose

I have sent a text to my friend by mistake but that text isn't meant for her, so if she ask me why is that, can i reply like this

This text was supposed to for my friend

Is that sentence correct if not so please make it correct and spot the errors of whole statement so it could help me to learn more better thanks

I would say: "Sorry, I mistakenly sent this message/text to you."
