I would like to have your comments on grammar and style.

Dear Sir
I would like to inform you that I have been experiencing severe pain in my knees for the past one year. As my room is on the first floor, I experience acute pain every time I climb up or down the stairs.

I would like to kindly request you to allot me a room on the ground floor in the new  staff hostel near the new airport, whose construction is nearing completion.

Please consider my situation and help me.
